(I'm such a sloucher these days!)
So I surprised him with a little 'congratulations/I'm so proud of you/I love you' cupcake :)
Can you spot him??
After graduation we headed back to the hotel and decided to kick back and relax by the pool. However it was already dark and we needed some dinner so this is what ended up happening...
The celebratory dinner ended up being chicken nuggs and Coors Light (I would have killed for a couple) from the next door McDonald's and gas station. Classy folks right here.
The next day however was the real celebration meal when we headed to Joe's Crab Shack and Jake got to get his seafood on. I on the other hand had a harder time with the place than I normally do...again I'll blame that one on Easton. Although it could have easily been watching Jake scrape the "mud vein" aka tube full of shit out of every. single. one. of those disgusting little creatures, proceed to drown it in butter and pop it in his mouth like candy. I could barely stomach my salad.
This is one of those meals I would have given anything for it to be socially acceptable (and ok for the baby of course) for a pregnant lady to have beer for lunch. I couldn't stop watching Jake's glass wishing it was mine. That sounded a little like I have a problem, but honestly it was the only thing I wanted. My salad started to taste like it had a mud vein in it.
At one point my husband got a little too excited and literally said, "Huh, this little guy must have taken a shit right before they caught him."
That night we decided to purchase last minute tickets to the Diamondbacks game. There were players that Jake kept talking about being excited to see (still can't tell you who they are, something Lee?) but I was excited for a ballpark pretzel with cheese :) They always taste better at a baseball game.
I must have had a very envious face on while Jake kept getting up to go get beer because the couple sitting next to us surprised me and bought the pregnant chick ice cream.
"Well we figured your husband was getting beer and the pregnant girl needs a treat too!"
They were so right...
Jake bought a little souvenir for Easton's first baseball game :)
He had a couple just like them growing up from the games he's been to.

This past Friday I was able to surprise Jake with a little get together with our friends at a local Mexican restaurant, our usual Friday dinner date. He didn't suspect a thing. Since we had plans the following day for a friend's graduation party I wasn't able to throw him a big celebration but still wanted to give him a little something for his graduation. I got him one of my favorite things growing up, a Mrs. Fields cookie cake :)
Unfortunately I spent the next 24 hours laying in bed really sick. Not sure if it was related to dinner or if I caught a stomach bug but either way throwing up while you're pregnant is not fun! I didn't see the light of day on Saturday. The farthest I ventured was to the bathroom. Luckily my hubby was home to take care of me. This is the view of my Saturday...
