family pictures
Just a quick post. I wanted to share our first of many family picture sessions...that's right husband...MANY :). Unfortunately it was bad timing on our part and we went when Easton was supposed to be napping, so we had a very serious, very tired little boy.
month one, two & three
Being behind seems to be the theme of this blog, so before my husband rings my neck, I need to get my butt in gear and give an update. Our little man is almost four months old now and getting cuter by the day...and growing up way too fast.
A few fun facts about Easton:
-He's very serious and is a master mean mugger.
-I can't find a diaper that seems to contain his explosive shits...this kid blows out of everything.
-He LOVES bath time.
-He thinks getting his diaper changed is hilarious and smiles the entire time.
-He tolerates getting his clothes changed very well...unless mom's trying to squeeze him into something that is too cute to admit he's grown out of.
-He's in size one diapers and three month clothes and again, I don't want to admit he's getting close to growing out of.
-He started rolling over at two months. I know, we have a little bad ass.
-He doesn't mind the car seat but the minute you snap it into the base in the car he's pissed.
-He viciously kicks his left leg, yes...only his left one, when he's mad.
-He can raise only one eyebrow just like mom :).
-He is the loudest child I've ever heard. Whether he's eating, sleeping, or just hanging out he's constantly making some sort of noise.
-He loves it when dad "eats" his fingers and when mom sings the ridiculous diaper song she made up.
-He is now obsessed with his hands and feet and tries to shove every finger he owns into his mouth.
I could go on and on about our adorable little monster but I'll move to the good part...pictures!
month one
The first month was full of many visitors and sleepless nights. Between trying to figure out this new little human and recovering myself, the month just melted away. We soaked up all of those sleepy, snuggling days...
month two
Month two is when we lovingly termed him "monster". He stopped being a sleepy newborn and instead decided to turn into a little cat napper. My entire day was spent trying to get him to sleep and keep him asleep. The little monster kept me on my toes all day. Some days the swing would make him happy all day, then the next day he'd hate it. I tried anything and everything to make sure he was getting the sleep he needed. The things a mother will do :). Although this month was pretty tough there were perks to him being awake all day. He started to make eye contact and smile at you, which made it all worth it.
month three
This month brought predictability and the start of a schedule. He started to nap a little longer and we started a night time routine. Still working out all of the kinks but we're getting there :)
This month also brought on a lot of new adventure. We celebrated our first trip to the pumpkin patch, first Halloween as the cutest little tiger, and our first Thanksgiving. We also flew to LA to spend a week with dad and Easton was such a champ.

He blew out of his outfit on the first plane ride so we had to perform a major clean up in the family restroom...then discovered his back-up outfit that's always in the diaper bag is now clearly too small.
being entertained by dad during our layover...
if I had a picture of every blow out...
Jake's mini me...
We took Easton down to the Santa Monica pier to let him see the ocean. However he fell asleep on the way there and you never wake a sleeping baby. Since we needed proof of his first trip to the ocean, we quickly opened the canopy of the stroller, snapped a few pictures and tucked him back in :).
pumpkin patch
It was a hell of a day for Easton. We'd been planning on going this day for a while and with Jake only home on the weekends I got him dressed and we went for it. It was freezing and he was super grumpy but we were determined to get those damn pumpkins! And to snap a few pictures along the way of his first p-patch trip. While we'll cherish this first...I think next year will be a little more fun :)
at least this little one loved it...
halloween
This Halloween was pretty uneventful, which is exactly how I preferred it to be. We just took the kiddos on a stroll around the neighborhood to look at all of the cute costumes.
not pleased with us...at all.
it's the circle of life...
many kisses for the little tiger..
thanksgiving
We took it easy for Easton's first Thanksgiving and it was just the four of us and Coop. We made a ton of food, stuffed ourselves full, then all of the boys took a nap.
a few more of my favorites...
Next up...Easton turns 4 months old and has his first Christmas!!
